The LFS grantmaking programme at WFA supports organisations and networks led by women, girls, trans, and intersex rights in Asia.
The programme supports grants:

Addressing all forms of violence against women, girls, trans, and intersex people and advancing their bodily integrity and autonomy.

Protecting and ensuring full economic rights and justice for women, girls, trans, and intersex people.

Expanding democratic space, sustaining inclusive governance, and equal participation of women, girls, trans, and intersex people.

A cross-regional convening aimed at supporting resilient movements within challenging contexts in the global South
Our Grants
Grant Sizes & Scopes
Grants will range from EUR 48,600 to EUR 446,800 for a period of 2 to 3 years. The grants will be made available in three categories.
Frontline Defenders grants
Amplifying Voices grants
Promoting Regional Feminist Agenda grants
Up to a maximum amount of
EUR48,600
are for organisations and networks led by women, girls, trans, and intersex persons working directly with communities on mobilisation and leadership building at the community and sub-national levels. Groups must be based in rural areas or small towns, or working with marginalised communities in urban areas. Ongoing programmes/ interventions would be given a preference.

In 2020, Women’s Fund Asia Limited (WFAL) was registered as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee in Australia with registration under the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission. WFAL is a subsidiary of WFA, and its operations are controlled by WFA. WFA is the sole member of the Company. The Executive Director of WFA serves as its Executive head, with the responsibility of making it fully operational in a way to serve the mandate of WFA.
