Linking & Learning
In working towards realising the fulfilment and enjoyment of human rights of women, girls, trans and intersex people in Asia, a key organisational strategy of WFA is to facilitate, create, and participate in spaces and opportunities that bring together our partners, allies, and other catalytic actors for collective learning, reflection, and strategising.
WFA provides two types of support under the Linking and Learning (L&L) grantmaking programme:
Travel grants for advocacy and capacity development.
- Individuals representing groups or networks of marginalised and/or under-resourced women, girls, trans, or intersex persons at a critical advocacy space, such as a UN global or regional conference.
- Individuals representing groups or networks of marginalised and/or under-resourced women, girls, trans, or intersex persons at a critical global or regional movement building space.
- Individuals from marginalised and/or under-resourced communities of women, girls, trans, or intersex persons travelling to take part in a capacity-building programme identified as a priority for their needs.
Convening space grants for organising collaborative events.
- National or regional feminist capacity-building for marginalised and/or under-resourced women, girls, trans, or intersex persons.
- Cross-country learning exchanges by marginalised and/or under-resourced women, girls, trans, or intersex persons.
- A national meeting of activists, groups, and networks of women, girls, trans, or intersex persons collaborating on advocacy strategies for a joint campaign.
The examples given above are not exhaustive.
