Strengthening Feminist Movements
Our core and flexible grantmaking programme, Strengthening Feminist Movements supports women, girls, trans, and intersex rights activists, groups, and networks, working at the local, subnational, and national levels. Through this program, we invest in community leadership, collaboration, and partnerships to strengthen women’s rights movements across Asia.
Grants under SFM span WFA’s key thematic areas:
- Strengthening Feminist Voices
- Access to Justice
- Autonomy, Decisions, and Sexual Rights
- Movement and Labour
- Environmental Justice
- Crises and Changing Contexts.
The programme is rooted in responsive grantmaking tailored to the needs and priorities of community-led groups, and follows a participatory process guided by WFA’s expert Program Advisory Committee.
